Man killed in 'road rage' attack

Press Association – 33 minutes ago

A man has been stabbed to death in a suspected road rage incident.

Officers were called to Teehey Lane in Bebington, Wirral, just after 3pm on Friday. A man, believed to be from the local area, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to local reports, two vehicles had been involved in a collision shortly before an altercation took place.

The incident took place in a built-up area and police believe several witnesses may have captured the circumstances on their mobile phones.

A 42-year-old man was later held on suspicion of murder.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "The investigation is at a very early stage and parts of Teehey Lane have been closed for further examination.

"A 42-year-old man from the Birkenhead area has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He has been taken into police custody where he will be questioned.

"Officers are working to establish his (the victim's) identity and a Home Office post mortem will take place to establish the cause of death.

"Officers are aware that there were a large number of people in the area at the time, some of whom will have witnessed this incident and even taken photographs or footage on their mobile phone.

"Officers would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact officers on 0151 777 2265 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

FAO ~ Those few who saw the class photo's.

In the police 'class' photo I am fifth in from the right, on the back row.In the 1972 class photo, I am third in from the two girls on the left; and in the 1975 class photo, I am on the right of the teacher.

In the first aid-class photo, I'm easily spotted on the from, legs crossed, scarf round neck... And then there's the one where's I'm doing voluntary work in 76-77 and smiling at the back.

High Maintenance??

00:41 Jan 25 2012
Times Read: 633

I saw a programme this morning talking of amongst other things ‘High Maintenance’ women. And, seeing one of the women in the audience and listening to her talk, it showed she was nowt more than an assertive woman: and what struck me was that stating her case, Needs and Wants shouldn’t make a woman as High Maintenance, it should say that she is confident. But, somehow the idea of a truly confident woman, who doesn’t need the trappings foisted on her, to be who she is, just isn’t acceptable, or encouraged. But, that entails true communication and, that’s something that mean and women just don’t seem capable of. I mean as a generalization, many women say, ‘Men Don’t Feel’, while a lot of men of my knowledge say that ‘women don’t listen’.

Somewhere between the two points of view, there must be mid-ground and, that is the nature of true communication, which some many people talk of wanting.

Lyrics

I got some troubles but they won't last

I'm going to lay right down here in the grass

Pretty soon all my troubles will pass

Cause I'm in su-su-su, su-su-su,

su-su-su-su-su-su- SUGAR TOWN

I never had a dog that liked me some

Never had a friend who wanted one

So I just lay back and laugh at the sun

Cause I'm in su-su-su, su-su-su,

su-su-su-su-su-su- SUGAR TOWN

Yesterday it rained in Tennessee

I heard it also rained in Tallahassee

But not a drop fell on little 'ole me

Cause I'm in su-su-su, su-su-su,

su-su-su-su-su-su- SUGAR TOWN

If I had a million dollars or ten

I'd give it to you world and then

You'd go away and let me spend my life in

su-su-su, su-su-su,

su-su-su-su-su-su- SUGAR TOWN

La, la, la, la,........................

...what's right?

‘tis the end of the night & as usual, I’m getting pissed off with the world: so in my own way, I’m trying to do ‘something’ about it. I am writing to my MP, about the banker’s obscene bonuses, whilst people are told to curb their wage claims and, others face unemployment. I don't know if it'll help. But, someone has to say what’s right.

Re: New Years Eve ~ 2012

Going outside at twelve minutes past twelve, I stared to the sky, listening to the quiet of the night and, the occasional revellers homeward bound, being noisy as noisy can be; and, almost as loud, as the fireworks, shortly after twelve midnight: and, I went into the back garden to look at the sky and, for some obscure reason, from the depths of my mind, to the forefront of my eye, for a moment, just for a moment, I saw the faces of those I have known and lost; and for a few moments I thought of the cost.

And, with a heart that had been emptied, I entered the house, for a whiskey and, a pill for the pain…
